Brokerage Connect / getting started

From connection to first table.

Start with your existing brokerage connections in SnapTrade Personal. You do not need API keys or developer credentials.

  1. Set up SnapTrade Personal

Create or sign in to your SnapTrade Personal account. Connect supported brokerage accounts there. Brokerage coverage and available data vary by institution.

  2. Install and authorize the add-on

Use the Marketplace listing when it becomes available. Open a Google spreadsheet, then Extensions → Brokerage Connect → Open. Authorize access to the current spreadsheet and the connection service.

  3. Connect through the secure window

Select Connect SnapTrade, then open the new-window link. Sign in with the same Google account you used in Sheets. Approve read access in SnapTrade. Return to the sidebar; your connection status updates automatically. Select Check status if automatic checks have paused.

  4. Choose and preview

Select one, several, or all accounts. Choose datasets, dates or order filters, and destination tabs. Enable balance history only if you want the experimental capability. Review columns and sample rows.

  5. Import, then explore

Confirm the sharing notice and import. Anyone with access to the spreadsheet may see the financial data. Hidden staging tabs are not private. Keep the sidebar open for progress or resume with Continue.

  6. Refresh your source tables

Build analysis in separate tabs. Refresh selected or all configured imports when needed. Renaming a destination tab preserves its saved sheet identity. A copied file needs its own fresh configuration and connection authorization.
